Frequently asked

Do I need a credit card to start the trial?

Yes. A card is required at signup, but you will not be charged until after the 7-day trial ends. We will email you before the trial ends so you can cancel if you like.

What happens after the 7-day trial?

Your card is charged at the start of day 8. Cancel any time before that and you will not be billed at all. No sudden outage: the reporter keeps working through any paid period.

What counts as a machine?

A stable hash of the environment the reporter runs in: provider:repo for CI runs, a stable device UUID (persisted at ~/.reportforge/device.json) on a developer workstation. Machines that have not reported in 30 days drop off automatically, so churn does not hold slots.

Does the reporter phone home on every run?

No. The first run activates against the server and caches an Ed25519-signed JWT at ~/.reportforge/license.json. Subsequent runs verify the JWT locally; they only refresh in the background when the cache has less than 24 hours left.

What happens if I cancel?

Your license keeps working until the end of the current billing period. After that the reporter stops generating PDFs until you restart the subscription. No sudden outage during a paid period.

Can I get a refund?

Yearly plans: full refund within 14 days of first paid charge, pro-rata refund within 30 days. Monthly plans: no refund after the first charge; cancel any time and your access continues through the end of the billing cycle. See our refund policy for details.

Is the source code open?

Yes: the reporter is MIT-licensed on npm. The subscription covers the licensing service and ongoing maintenance, not ownership of the code.
